How does Stepily know what to ask?
It reads every step and screenshot in the guide, including the click target recorded when that step was captured, and writes questions to match.
What kinds of questions does it ask?
Two kinds: click questions, where the reader finds the right spot from memory, and type questions, where they enter a value. Typed answers are matched by field kind — email, phone, date, and so on — so small formatting differences still count.
Is Quiz Mode included in the free plan?
No. Generating a quiz is a Pro feature. Guides themselves stay free to make and share either way.
Can I edit the questions afterward?
Yes. Edit the prompt, the hint, the matcher type, and the sample data before turning it on for readers.
What happens when I update the guide?
Stepily flags the quiz as out of date so you know to regenerate it. The existing quiz keeps working until you do.
Who can take the quiz?
Anyone who can view the guide, once you turn Quiz Mode on for it.
Can I turn it off without losing it?
Yes. Hiding Quiz Mode keeps the quiz saved — readers just won't see it until you turn it back on.
Is there a limit on how many I can generate?
Pro accounts get 50 quiz generations a month.
